1. Is there a cost to be a 1% for Women Nonprofit Partner?
There is a minimal application fee of $20. Your processing fee helps us with basic administrative expenses. There are no ongoing fees for our nonprofit partners. If this fee is prohibitive for your organization, please complete the form online, make note of this concern, and submit the form without paying the application fee.

2. What communication resources will my nonprofit receive from 1% for Women?
As a 1% for Women Nonprofit Partner, you will receive a Nest Kit containing both digital and print materials designed to support your participation and enhance your communications with employees, patients/clients, volunteers, and donors.

Digital materials may include printable flyers, social media content, promotional cards, and a guide on ways to advance the movement. The items listed are subject to change based on availability and initiative updates. We reserve the right to modify, replace, or discontinue any materials as needed.

3. What benefits can my team enjoy as a partnering organization?
Enjoy a 20% partnership discount on all purchases from Bluebird Refuge tea and gift shop for your employees, volunteers, donors, and clients/patients.

4. How can participation in 1% for Women help prospective and current patients/clients?
Our website, marketing, and communication efforts will magnify your life-giving services to women, giving your organization greater visibility within your community. Additionally, our “9 Days of Refuge” book is available to you at a discounted rate or through our Buy Tea, Give Hope initiative, providing another tool to uplift women experiencing uncertainty during pregnancy.

5. What is expected of Nonprofit Partners?
a. Maintain life-giving services for women and families at low or no cost. “Low-cost” is defined as substantially reduced final cost of services to women and their families.
b. Ensure you have a process in place to receive funds from 1% for Women members for your programs. You will be asked to identify ways to give when you submit your nonprofit partner application form.
c. Submit a brief annual report on the total services provided for women when we are assessing our impact. You will receive an email prompt for this.

6. How will Bluebird Refuge magnify the work of our nonprofit?
a. Increase the visibility of your organization and the services you provide by listing it on our website and in our communications.
b. Feature your organization as eligible to receive donations from our 1% for Women members, motivating your current donors to continue supporting your life-giving work while increasing the potential for new donors.
c. Highlight your organization’s resource needs through our communications, pop-up events, and social media. We encourage our nonprofit partners and members to stay informed through our electronic communications and follow 1% for Women on social media to help expand our reach.

7. Why aren’t organizations that provide or refer for abortions*, or prescribe medication intended to end a human life, eligible to be a 1% for Women Nonprofit Partner?
The purpose of 1% for Women is to support and accompany women on their journey through pregnancy and parenting, especially in times of need. Our goal is to build symbolic nest boxes for women, not smash them.

*This refers to elective abortions only, not treatment for ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages.
