Awakening Hope and Joy

We’re Renee and Mary—sisters, best friends, and business partners. We’re also wives, moms, dream-builders, and spirit-led daughters.
We’re on a journey to awaken hope and joy, two cups of tea at a time, with the help of the bluebird.
Why bluebirds?
When shaping our vision, we discovered their inspiring history. Once barely surviving, bluebirds now thrive because people united, learned what was needed, and built nest boxes—making a difference in their own backyards. Coast to coast, every nest box mattered.
In the same way, we are called to build symbolic nest boxes for women in motherhood—especially those experiencing uncertainty during pregnancy—creating spaces of help, hope, and refuge.
Too often, women feel unseen, unsupported, and alone. By sharing tea and conversation—whether one-to-one or through tea parties that raise awareness of what women need to thrive—we can accompany women by magnifying existing pregnancy and parenting services, while also strengthening the life-giving nonprofits that walk with them.
And just as the bluebird instinctively looks forward to springtime and brighter days, we believe this is our springtime—a season to cultivate relationships, plant seeds of inspiration, and grow communities that unite around women in motherhood, bringing hope and joy to all.
We’re in business to do good, and with your help, we can brew something beautiful together.
Thanks for visiting our shop!

A Blend of Tea and Purpose
At the heart of Bluebird Refuge, our business model blends the comfort of tea with social responsibility. Our purpose is simple: with a “do-good” framework, we’re focusing on community betterment by supporting women in motherhood.
Magnify Beauty, Goodness, and Truth
We are guided by our core values—beauty, goodness, and truth. With these principles, we lead and participate in our initiatives, including “Buy Tea, Give Hope” and 1% for Women, while also offering 9 Days of Refuge to women—confidentially and at no cost.
We are equally committed to reinvesting our earnings back into the business to expand our impact and realize our vision.
